FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT ABOUT ORIENTATION AND REGISTRATION? HOW CAN I DO ALL
THOSE THINGS AND STILL BE IN THE SPIRIT OF THE WEST?
We will excuse you from sections of Preseason Training when you have something
important to do regarding orientation and/or registration. All you need to do
is let your
Section Leader know that you must leave and when you will be back. We do not
want to
keep you from conducting important business. Please remember that it is you
responsibility to “catch-up” and practice anything that you miss
while away from
rehearsal.
WHAT ABOUT SORORITY/FRATERNITY RUSH?
If you wish to go through sorority/fraternity rush, you may certainly do so.
However, if
you are a first-semester first freshman, it is not recommended that you try
to do too much
during your first term in college. Being in The Spirit of the West and a sorority
or
fraternity will place a great deal of demand on your time – plus, you
have academic
responsibilities too!
Our Preseason Training does not occur during “Rush Week” for MSU
sororities or
fraternities. If you are interested, please visit:

WHAT ABOUT MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS?
Students WILL NOT be allowed to register for classes until all MSU immunization
requirements are met and the Student Health Service checks and clears your records.
Therefore, it is critical that students take care of meeting these requirements
and return
the Montana State University Health History Form as far in advance of
Orientation/Registration as possible.
Required immunizations include two (2) MMRs (measles, mumps, rubella) and
completion of MSU’s Tuberculosis Screening Form. Forms for reporting this
information can be found in the Montana State University Viewbook or online
at
http://www.montana.edu/wwwhs/medserv/immunization.html. Mail these forms as
early
as possible to:
MSU Student Health Service
PO Box 173260,
Bozeman, MT 59717-3260.
If you have questions regarding immunization and health record requirements,
please
contact the Student Health Service at (406) 994-2311.
